The 7-year-old Mustang Broncos pee-wee football team went 11-1 in their second season.
They have won at least 10 games in back-to-back seasons and once again qualified for the All-City Tournament.
The defense had six shutouts while surrendering only 43 yards and 5 points per game. They recorded a handful of sacks, an interception and a safety.
“The defense was really stout,” head coach Louis Krivanek said.
The Bronco offense rolled up 2,450 yards with 40 touchdowns, averaging 201 yards and 24 points per game. The Broncos rushed for 34 touchdowns behind a productive group of players up front.
“The offensive line gelled into a solid unit that blocked good enough that five players reached triple digits,” Krivanek said.
Tailback Tyler Owens led the team with more than 1,500 yards on the ground this season. Special teams played an important role for the Broncos as they took six kickoffs back for scores.
Krivanek said the Broncos stressed team unity and continued building on the fundamentals of football.
“It was a memorable season,” he said. “The kids never quit and always gave 100 percent to the team. They are a tremendous group of young men, and I am blessed to be their coach.”
